I am a wife of 32 years, a mom of 2 grown sons, 2 daughter-in-loves and a Millie to 3 precious granddaughters (and one new baby boy coming soon!).
I've been a working mom, inside and outside the home, and a homeschooling mom for 20 years. Now I'm a homeschooling grandmother, schooling my 2 oldest granddaughters two days a week. Never did I think I would put the teacher hat back on, after graduating my youngest son, but I'm so honored that my son and DIL trust me to invest in their children on a weekly basis. Not only do I get to put my gift of teaching to use, but I get an opportunity to pour into the lives of my girls and I count that a great privilege.
I've written 2 books - one homeschooling How-To/Memoir titled "I Could Never Do That! And Other Homeschooling Obstacles You Need to Get Over" and a book of stories and essays titled "Notes from a Writer's Heart", filled with personal stories I wrote over the years. Both are available on Amazon.
I've also written numerous articles for various magazines, had a blog back in the day and once was a cast member/speaker in a National storytelling show for writers called Listen To Your Mother. Unfortunately you can still see that video on YouTube!
Now, as an empty nester, I'm slowly finding my rhythm of writing, cooking for two, keeping up with friends and family and taking walks with my husband. I love puzzles, British crime shows, reading biographies and memoirs, listening to podcasts and eating Mexican food at least once a week.
My ultimate calling and passion is living for Jesus every single day. Without Him, none of what I've written here or anywhere else, would matter or be possible.
