Classic Literature Must-Haves for Boys and Girls

First things first, classic literature is a must. Whether you are homeschooling with a classics curriculum or simply want to instill some classic values and culture into your child’s life, there are a ton of fantastic novels every kid should know! Classic literature can be tough for some, so make these read-alouds if you can, or find a good study guide and take it bit by bit with your kid(s). There are also some great activities associated with some of these books, so look around the web and see how you can make the experience of these books interactive and educational!
But most importantly—enjoy! Please note that these lists are only suggestions, and that 1) you must research these titles and determine your own child’s reading level, maturity, and ability to handle certain themes, and 2) anyone can read whatever they like! Reading should be fun, not a chore!
